you unlock it in the files or just win a campaign. I suggest you win the campaign since this game is completly based on rome and it should make them more fun. (plus if you havent won the campaign i think your new, and playing rome is an easy way to learn the game.)
odi et amo quare id faciam fortasse requiris / nescio sed fieri sentio et excrucior
can i unlock them now?is it safe?how?
Alternatively, follow the instructions here to unlock all factions
it is easier then it looks like
make a back-up file first.!
I think he meant editting the descr_strat.txt file. But indeed IF something should go wrong (which is practicly impossible because you only have to relocate the non-playable factions (or only egypt if you only want to play with them) to playable) you alway's have a back-up file and do not need to install the whole game again.
OR you can download the mod file which also adds an extra campaign description to the non-playable factions. you can find this here --> Haders All Factions Mod (for RTW 1.5)
Just know, every faction has very little to start with, and Egypt is no exception. I reccommend turtling(aka Build up your economy and then start expanding).
when the union's inspiration through the worker's blood shall run,
there can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun,
yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one?
but the union makes us strong.
May i correct you there: Egypt has several big advantages:
- It lies in a very fertile area
- It lies in a very defendable area with the advantage of desert troops who get bonusses when fighting in desertarea
- It had 2 wonders and a massive population which means BIG advantages to both public order and economic situations. Good public order = flourishing economy. And Egypt IS in that position
- Egypt can recruit chariots which are very usefull when autoresolving.
- The Seleucids are an easy-to-defeat enemy and the middle-east is relativly easy to conquer, but that's in late-era-rtw.
- It lies in an area which has enormous economic advantages such as not only landtrade, but also sea-trade. Controll those 2 and you do NEVER need to worry about your economy then.
Conclusion: Egypt is next to the Britons and Brutii the easiest faction to play.
