Re: CTD on campaign start
So I guess you are using the BI.exe...can you give us more details? Such as the faction you used...also, have you applied Suppanaut's Traitfix?

Re: CTD on campaign start
Yes, the arabic crash is very well known, I have found a solution today but this solution would probably prevent the Marian Reform to happen, so we are thinking about an alternative.
Regarding why you should apply Suppanaut's Traitfix...well, the name itself says why, it's a fix.

Re: CTD on campaign start
Well the Marian Reforms arent realy that much important for me because the romans get crushed in the first 10 turns by the greeks dont know what greeks but greeks but despite this its better to have marian reforms than to be able to see desert

Yes but if you play as Ptolemies or Seleucids and want to expand into Arabia? It would be simply impossible to play...but it seems we've found a fix for it (let's hope so).

Re: CTD on campaign start
Changing the faction_creator for that region, removing the garrison and a little change to EDB.txt. I've played more than 30 turns in the WotD campaign with FoW off, with repeated save\load games and it didn't crash a single time.

Re: CTD on campaign start
Try to put these two files into your RTWfolder\DTW\Data\world\maps\campaign\Wars-of-the-diadochi...they should fix your campaign start crash. And do me a favour, try to disable FoW and see if the arabic crash is fixed. Let me know if it works.

Re: CTD on campaign start
Make sure to delete the map.rwm in the Wars of the Diadochi folder just in case...

Re: CTD on campaign start
Good to hear that! No, I told you to disable FoW just to know if the arabic crash was fixed, since it crashed only with FoW off. If it works like that, then it works also with FoW on!

Re: CTD on campaign start
Well, I have a clean RTW 1.5 and BI 1.6 (no Alex).
I installed (in this order, and in the correct places):
DTW 1.1
DTW patch 1.5
Suppanut's Trait Fix
Diadochi QuickFix
Still a CTD on every trial to start the Imperial Campaign. Up to now I tried Pontos, Rome and Seleukids, patiently deleting the map.rwm after each crash. :-(
However, the Provincial campaign "Wars of of the Diadochoi", starting 306 BC, works, at least with the Seleukids.

Re: CTD on campaign start
@ Sans-Souci: does it start immediately after you press the "start campaign" button or at the end of the loading bar?
@ Feldmarschal Rommel: from the download sticky thread...
