Driver Issue

I am having a problem with my graphics cards(I think).Sometimes while I am browsing or just on the desktop,have of my screen will go black and the other half will just flicker.When I start games,the screen will freeze and look kinda color distorted.I have updated my graphics card driver and all that jazz.Any Ideas?

Could be an old graphics driver is still installed and messing it up for you.

It also might mean that your graphics card is about to die though...

What graphics card do you have?

From what you have described it sounds like your card is on it's last legs, it's sad to report just about all 8000 series cards are inherently faulty and will go wrong at some stage, if you still have any warranty left on it I suggest you make use of it.

Assuming you've done a thorough job of eliminating the possibilty of drive/OS issues: Take it out and clean it, clean the socket too with compressed air (or blowing if your mouth is dry lol (joke)). Then reseat it.

Still having problems then try underclocking it, or RMA it if in warranty.
