Ptolemaic Campaign is going wrong ?

Hey RTR Guys !.

i just started a campaing with Ptolemaic Kingdom (H/VH)
and Alexandria keeps making loses like hell,
i used cheats (for the first time) to finish all the trade buildings but it stays -2200 income

(and yes i tried to disband my weak units but nothing helps)
sombody has some advice ?
or should i just continue with this campaign ?

Go for the Mini regions. They have been designed to help your income and with cultural conversion. You can put the tax rate up high with no fear of rebellion.

Fate of Empires gameplay is designed to be radically different so you will need to think about your strategy more carefully. Major regions are there to provide part of what you need to complete your conquest and the mini regions provide the other part.

Trade rights are another vital part of the game at the beginning as the game was balanced with this in mind. So pick your enemies carefully and time your attacks when you have the right opportunity.

I play as the CG's quite often and I start the game by hiring as many free recruitment cost units as I can. Take a few towns and then reduce my standing army until I am making a profit...... then I pray like mad that I dont get attacked, or at least can take back what I lose. Once Im making a profit and back in profit, I invest in govt buildings since these provide two important functions. They boost the culture and reduce the unrest of the region so that if I do lose it, there is a better chance it will revolt back to me and secondly, it provides me with access to more units.

Hey, its losing money because its a big city, so it takes more of your empires financial burden. So really it could be making 10 000 denarii but taking 12 000 of your nations debt, so you get -2000

as oppossed to a city that makes 3000 denarii but only takes 1000 denarii worth of debt

Lucarius, if you want to see how much your city is making in absolute terms, go to the settlement details, and there click on the button "trade overview" or something similar, it's next to the button to make the settlement your capital. In there you see how much the city trades, and how much it gets from mining - THAT is what your city actually makes. Press [ and ] to flip through your cities...
