Default Turning off Monitor Through Task Scheduler

Hey I was just wondering does anyone know how to turn off your monitor through task scheduler? I'm trying to do an auto shutdown of my machine in case i forget to turn it off but i like to turn off my monitor at the end of the night too. Relevant Specs are:

    Vista 64 bit SP2

Desktop Inspiron 530 with included widescreen monitor ( bought it off of a catalog so its standard.)

There is Fail, and then there is Epic Fail. Fail can happen to anyone, no matter how hard you try. An Epic Fail however, requires a mistake so huge that the only reason the opposition can fathom as to why you did it is to think it was deliberate. - Aeros on erepublik

You can set all that through the control panel under power options.

You can't actually turn off your monitor through software in any way I know of. The OS can stop sending signals to the monitor, so it will go on standby, but I think that's it. I could be wrong, though.
