Default Adding units to faction, RTRPE

Hi again. Can someone point me to a guide to adding units to a faction. I would like to make all imitation legionnary (sp) troops (eg armenian, seleucid etc) recruitable by Rome to simulate the raising of auxiliaries in the Roman style. I have tried just editing the export desc unit ownership and the top level of barracks in export desc buildings but get a texture crash. Im sure there will be a thread on how to do this here somewhere but for the life of me i cant find it. Any pointers gratefully received or maybe i cant do it because of the spreadsheet warning i saw in the above files....

Hi Jimmy...good idea to add these auxillary legionaries (..but I don't play romans Some years ago I did something like that in RTRPE..I don't have it on my system anymore.) In this case you wouldn't add new units, but I don't know if there is a limitation for auxillary units for one faction too. Perhaps someone here could answer this?

You should describe what you have done very exactly...this isn't easy, 'cause every little mistake could make your try useless.
Just a few tips/ideas at first:
    1. I hope you have made a backup of your original rtrpe-files!
    2. You should start again and copy the edu and edb lines you have changed and copy them into your messages, so that everybody is able to see what you have done!
    3. You also have to add the Unit Infos and Unit Texts of the auxillaries into your roman folder too, so that the buttons and descriptions of the new units are shown !

There`s an adding new units guide for the beginners at the .org:
    http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showth...-for-beginners
Or this one here that also deals with units among other things:
