Need some help editing

Hi everyone, I'm back after being in the hospital for awhile.

Well I just downloaded the heros update. I tried a HRE campaign and really liked the new version. Its great work again as usual. The two things I found that I would like to change for my personal preference is stronger alliances and I feel the campaign needs less catholic on catholic aggression. I cannot seem to finish off Milan and go on a crusade without being attacked by england, france, denmark, poland, hungary, venice, or sicily. Is there a way to deter catholic factions from attacking every nation it borders. I basically would like to keep historical enemies and allies, but keep the focus on ridding the holy lands of muslims. Until the period after the crusades.

In my HRE campaign I was attacked 3-4 times by allies. Once was by the pope. I was the second highest faction in approval rating with the pope. And completed all of his required missions for me.
The other times was with Sicily, Poland, and Hungary. I had excellent relations with all three especially poland, I had military access rights and was giving 1000 per year to keep them happy.

Any help would be appriciated.

The problem is that the AI will go after a nation that is expanding its borders quickly eg your HRE and your growing so if it doesnt attack early and hard you will grow to big and steam roll the map and get bored. You could spend more time doing deals with the AI to help keep the peace etc .

But if you really want to turn it into a flat easy game you could alter faction standings in descr_strat or go to the campaign db and alter the relations between catholics to catholics but this will ruin the game completely with so many factions surrounded by catholics when they are catholic they have to fight and less catholic to catholic fighting historicly there was tons of factions catholic fighting other catholics prime examples france and england or france and HRE or poland HRE or hungary HRE all these had historical wars against each other so catholics kill lots of other catholics in history lol

I agree...Me and my wife are Catholic and had a HIstorical battle just yesterday.

thx soul. I try not to fight multiple countries at once. I guess I need to figure out a few more financial tricks to be able to afford multiple fronts.
