Default Sold my PC for $1300.

And now I'm building a new one! Note that this does not include the 5970 because it has been sent back to my friend (I was testing it for a few months) and the price includes my older 4890!

    So, my new PC.

    Diamond Radeon HD 5850

    AMD Phenom II X4 955 C3 3.2 GHz Quad

    Coolermaster Silent Pro 700W Modular

    MSI 790FX-GD70 ATX AMD3 790FX DDR3 Tri-Fire Motherboard

    Corsair Watercooling H50 Heatsink

    Corsair XMS3 4GB DDR3 1600MHz

    Corsair Obsidian Series 800D

$1200, I still have $150~ to spend but I'm not sure... I can get a 5870 if I get a worse case but I really want my Obsidian 800D

I know you guys will be like "Why sell your i7 for a phenom?", Well I want to get the best of both worlds :] I've never had a AMD CPU before.

I'm going to hold out for AMD's new 6 core CPU's, I want to get the black edition to ensure the best possible overclocking results so can I ask what made you choose the particular MSI board as I not all that familiar with AM3 boards?

Don't worry to much about going from Core i7 to Phenom II because in terms of gaming it makes hardly any differance, have a quick look through this review and it should put you mind at ease.

I'm getting this Board because it allows for Crossfire, which futureproofs the machine to a degree (Just slap on another 5850). Also, it has hardcore Southbridge and Northbridge heatsinks which are going to help me overclock :]

Where are your hard drives? And you may want to get the 965 stepping C3(the 125 tdp one anyway) as they are really good overclockers.
I have a 250GB Velociraptor, all I need to store my games on (I have a laptop I use for everything else). Also, the latest batches have had the 955 C3 overclock better or just as good as the 965, so why not save some money?

Right now I'm running on my laptop with a 21.5" Screen attached lol

Oooh, sorry, I wasn't aware the 955s got a new stepping as well, I thought the C3 was the same 955 I got, but alas, I have a C2. I hit a block around 3.7-3.8ghz, C3 should be good then. With the extra 150, why not get a SSD? Grab a 30gb OCZ Vertex as a boot drive, and install W7 and most used applications on it. I personally am gonna grab an SSD as my next upgrade - every person who has one says it is one of the best upgrades you can get to make your computer feel faster. Might want to check it out.

With the extra 150$ I recommend getting a good mouse and headset if you dont have one. Possibly a good keyboard too, but by then you might be a bit stretched.

You said you bought the 5970 at a PC shop. Then later you said you paid for half of it and your parents paid for the other half as a Christmas gift, now you say it was never your in the first place and you were merely borrowing it from a friend? I never believed you actually had a 5970 of your own since even at launch they were all but impossible to find in stock. And since you never showed pictures.

    Here's your lies:

You can't have bought it yourself in November, paid half as a Christmas present, and borrowed it from a friend.

Actually I find the the story about 'borrowing it from his friend' the less credible of the two stories, if I had splashed nearly £500 on a HD5970 I would not want to lend to someone for few months.

Lol, I don't even care that you busted me but you guys can believe what you want. Why would I even bother lying? what is the point? Impressing people on the internet is hardly interesting to me. anyways. I did infact lie about the other points because I figured you'd think I was lieing if my friend said I could borrow it (He got deployed to Afganistan for 6 months), I guess I should a told the truth instead of making myself look like a retard, I mean, as you can see I put little effort into the charade lol

Already have a Razer Lycosa, Deathadder, and Carcharias and a 150$ Beyerdynamic DTX900 Headset, got all my bases covered. And a 21.5" LG 1920x1080 monitor D: lol

Your goal in life is to show off your "parts". When you refused to present a picture I got suspicious.

The 5970 was a lie, but as for everything else he has shown evidence for. He shouldn't lose credibility on this forum because he wanted to say he had a 5970.

Though the monitor wasn't a lie - that was actually his plan to find something like that, but it didn't turn out that way.

I decided not to go with the 32" because it'd like like horse at that res up close.

SO, I bought a 21.5" LG 1920x1080 and it LOOKS better than your monitor because of inchage to pixel ration, muahaha. /Troll

Anyways, my new PC shall be here in 2 weeks so I'll post pictures then!
