1. the game does not become any harder.
meaning that if you managed to expand than you will probably be the strongest faction until the end of the game. i would have changed something in AI behaviour so that empires will emerge over time.
(and not the same empires all the time!!!)

2. ctds are assured to happen at some point. and not getting any help for them is also assured. (my post is unasnwered in the bug section for a week now) so i dont understand why would you even play a game which you know will go down the toilet at some point.

whenever i had a ctd i had to resort to "surrender regions". which is not a big deal if it is used on ireland. but what if its the HRW or the kwarezmians that are causing the ctd? how can you kill them and still enjoy the game? something has to be done about this.

im pretty sure that i followed all the instructions on how to install the game
but i would suggest making one downloadble file which will install the whole thing and thus will resolve the situation where people might install things in the wrong order.
this will also make reinstalling the game much easier.

1. on what difficulty do you play ?

2 if you play,CTD is always bound to happen once ,if it is a mod or vanilla doesnt matter. If you dont like CTD's than try to solve em yourself .If you dont get help or post several times ,try to contact a Stainless Steel member. And also know that the more experienced members with the knowledge of handling CTD's arent always around . They also have a life outside of Stainless Steel or serving you with your unappropriate behaviour.

As for concerns the installation ,just read the read me's . Trust me when i say to you that SS has a very good installer . And ive played a lot of mods to know what im talking about.

In general ,be polite against the modders . They have put a lot fo time in this mod and it isnt called one of (if not the ) best mod(s) of m2tw.

If you have any other ideas about SS ,than post it with the SUGGESTIONS instead of the 'complaints'.

Stop ing and trolling, If I was unsatisfied with some little things I'd tweak them myself, make a larger money script, change the campaign_ai_db.xml to make the faction attack a neutral or hated faction as soon as it has a full stack, I would change the settlement_mechanics.xml so the ai gets more income...!!!
You can do them yourself...!!!
I even suggest you download RR/RC and see how long you last on VH/VH...!!!

This game isn't that hard. I didn't have much difficulty playing as most factions on VH/VH back when I played plain SS6.2. Lithuania was a bit difficult occasionally, but as long as you always make sure to plan ahead it isn't difficult to become the unstoppable blob empire. It gets more difficult if you play Purist, as I call it, of course. No reloading, bloodlines must remain pure IE no adopting or man of the hour events, no trading of settlements. But even with purist, most factions can be turned into the unstoppable blob before the 50th turn without too much difficulty as long as you are good enough at aggressive early expansion.

dude! norway and denmark are the two easiest factions in the game...
with denmark you just conquer hamburg and keep it as sole forteress against the roman empire while going against norway and securing scandinavia. with norway you just have one neighbour..
with these two you dont even need to bother with dimplomacy. i have no problem being deceitful and at war with about 4 AI's at a time. milan or venice are much harder

This tipping point situation is something present in almost all games and in stock medieval 2 as well. So for not beeing in the base medieval made by professional commercial programmers should you seriously ask this of a mod? But yes, there actually is a Stainless Steel submod against this but it mostly limits the player and not the AI. Try BGR IV.

Post get overlooked - its not like we're running a commercial operation here. A post in your topic with additional information would have helped you much more.
I'm not getting paid to answer in the bug report forum - I do it out of free will and because I chose to spend a part of my free time to help out players here. If you want dependable "commercial" support I'm available at a base rate that most likely exceeds your allowance.

Makes you wonder how all other players could live with that. Wait... hm... I know, there is something wrong with your install. Be patient with the troubleshooting in the bug forum and it will work out.

Sorry even then something will not work out on somebodys computer. Error messages in the installers get ignored, bigger files create higher risks of errors in downloads... there is always something. For a base version of SS 6.2 or 6.1 you have to use a total of 3 files and read the release topics and the installer instruction. Not much room to simplify anything.

1) The merging thing can't be done. I agree, once you are powerfull it is easy to stay powerfull. Perhaps RR/RC BGRIV would be something for you?
