    Default diplomats

    hi guys, im currently playing call of warhammer mod, but i realized diplomacy is severely ''castrated'' with factions not being able to negotiate unless allies from the start.

    So the question is which files do i need to touch in order to change this behaviour (if not really difficult that is).

    We have begun discussions on diplomacy in the Wheel of Time mod (not to any great length just yet). But if u are not using diplomats on the world map the only way to change relations with other factions is via the factions standing file. If that file is cleverly scripted (even with scripts from the campaign_script) its possible to give players in game options via pop up events and create your own diplomacy talks with faction to faction (player only). As for AI and AI talks, once again, a cleverly scripted factions standings file and campaign_script can resolve that to. There will, ofcourse be some limitations with the lack of a diplomat.

    Otherwise, u may wish to use diplomats. But as the case may be with the WoT mod, diplomats dont make a whole lot of sense according to lore, which may be the case with warhammer (i dont know).
    ...longbows, in skilled hands, could reach further than trebuchets...

    hi, thanks for your response, theres diplomats in Call of warhammer mod, problem is that they can only start negotiations with allied factions (which are determined from start), so if you decide to end alliance you find yourself unable to talk to these factions anymore. I will look for those 2 files you mentioned last.

    More help would be greatly appreciated guys!
