Default M2TW and Men of War crash on my computer

After going through the pain of over-overclocking my computer and it not working, the moment I tried to boot up either of these games they work for a brief period of time and then crash. Men of War causes a BSOD and M2TW just becomes extremely laggy which means I have to restart.

The only thing i've really done to my computer was resetting the CMOS, but is it possible that I could have touched anything potentially dangerous? It lays pretty much just below my graphics card, so if anything on the GFX card gets pulled out does that mean it'll play up completely?

Google the error code you get on the blue screen - if the blue screen only flashes up for a second then you need to google for instructions on how to make the blue screen stay in place until you press reset.

Either way the code should hopefully give you some idea on whats causing the problem.

At this point though if i had to guess id say its more than likely a hardware fault. Possibly overheating or something like that. I guess its possible you damaged your graphics card somehow but generally id think it wouldnt work at all if that was the case.

Sporadic crashes to me usually suggest overheat or damaged ram

Lag and bsod both suggest RAM issues. In addition to following Spiff's advice, you might take a look and make sure your computer is registering the full amount of memory that you'd expect. There are some free utilities you can downloard to test your memory.
