Icon5 Region Wealth[growth in the turn] figure. Does it make any difference really :s

So one of my regions has -5 and i can change that to be +1.

Do these numbers really matter in the long run? Are they as insignificant as i think they appear or should i try and make these positive. As i think just 5 isnt really that much to worry about. If it was -100 on the otherhand then that i would be a tad concerned with

Hope anyone can pass on what they believe i should consider with this part of my game

Thank you for reading my query. Thanks again

edit no.1-just noticed in my game. I have a trading port [commercial port, actually] that has that green line coming from it indicating trade. I have another port on the right a bit more. 2 regions or so over [just a trade prot though i think this would be fine]. It doesnt have any green line coming from it. Any thoughts on this :/

Not sure what your asking here :/ might you be talking about growth?

Dont think it dose anything in the long run in the vanilla game but might give you more money from tax the more population you have(not sure about this tho).

And btw wold probably be beter if you just make 1 post next time and post all off your questions at once next time

hopefully a site admin would collect my post from 1 day and just bundle them together . Call them RichSz general questions, lol. I thought of these at diff times. I have been asking a number today though. Think im done with 4 questions. Dont think ill ask anymore but who knows. Hopefully a site admin can bundle them together though say tomorrow when im done asking things for a certain day.

Looking forward to anymore answers to this question. That does sound ok though how you said the more population, the more tax [nothing like getting tons of cash]

Double check this answer since I've only had the game less than a week and have played for about 8 turns...

Wealth is somewhat like compound interest in the game. If your total region wealth is $100 and you have "-5" growth the next turn your wealth would be 95...the turn after that 90...and so on...

Your treasury (the amount you have to spend per turn) is partly determined by your regional wealth...your tax rate is the per centage of regional wealth that you earn per turn.

So if you had a tax rate of 10%...each turn you'd earn 10% of your regional wealth so on turn one you'd earn $10 (10% of 100); however since you have negative growth the next turn you'd only earn $9 (10% of $90); the next turn it'd be $8...and so on...

Eventually you'd be out of money.

Unless the port is connected to your capitol region, at least by roads, then it wont' trade - I think.

If there's another faction in between the two ports then it won't trade - I'm pretty sure.

Also check to see if someone is pirating the shipping land or blocking the port where the trade originates.

    I think i get what you're asking.

yes, that number is quite important! its the net turn growth your city wealth will change by. generally, keep it positive because over time you will gain more and more tax money as that increases! the more money you have, the more armies you can support.

in short: keep that number positive and you will have more tax revenue over time.
