I can't be the only one.
A stain on the metal genre that I would rather forget.
Under the Patronage of Jom!
Oh yeah, because if it isn't "proper metal" then it must be bad, right?
I'm haven't heard much Attack Attack! but I though they were crabcore... dwp are quite good, i saw them support enter shikari once. Avenged Sevenfold are what got me into more brutal metal so I love them for that (r.i.p. the rev). and a day to remember are good as well. So here's my contribution to the thread:
all bands I love. And you could expand forward to some deathcore too:
Did somebody say breakdown?

by the fierce warriors of Lothlind.
Well if you don't like it no one is forcing you to listen to it
I generally prefer hardcore to metalcore anyway, which is its own genre. And IS awesome. Hardcore is one of the most popular genres of music that's actually music (ie not hip hop) with young people now, so you'll probably have to hear more and more of it
People aren't allowed to make music that isn't metal?Just listening to those videos makes me wish Rob Halford or Abbath would show up and show those kids what metal really is..
@Sir Reginald, you're a good man
Did somebody say breakdown?
I like ATR and BFMV, now to listen to the others
Me too, actually, Waking the Fallen was my first metalcore albumAvenged Sevenfold are what got me into more brutal metal so I love them for that (r.i.p. the rev)
I'm with you Justi!
Don't know if you like the following..

Anything with "core" in it nowadays pretty much sucks. And hardcore used to be good too.
I give you "crunkcore":
If you don't have anything nice to say, then please don't say anything at all.

It not be punk son. At least not in any real sense. Sure the genre is technically a fusion between punk and metal, but what I listen to is much closer to a fusion between metal and rock, not punk.
When I think punk I think annoying things like Green Day. When I think hardcore or metalcore I think pure awesome:

Hardcore= a sub genre of punk
Or at least it was for a while. If you are listening to any variation of hardcore you are listening to the offspring of punk; particularly Black Flag.
And percisely where did I say I liked hardcore (I know what it is) or post hardcore videos?
