Default Windows 7 was sent from hell *SOLVED?

I truly believe it to be the antichrist. Today, for no reason whatsoever, Mozilla stopped working. I thought it was an isolated event. But now the windows player has also committed suicide. And I've been having problems re-installing of M2TW. XP would never betray me like this, at least not in the second week.

I feel like burning down Micrososft's offices. Who's with me?

You prove only your ignorance. First OS law:

"An OS will not give you trouble unless acted on by an outside force" put in simple terms for you: it's not the OS's fault. Seems how you didn't ask for help though your on your own.

For the record I have a netbook running XP, a desktop running Vista 32 bit Home Premium, a desktop running Vista Ultimate 64bit, and a desktop running Windows 7 64bit. No complains with any of those OS's.

Most likely a hardware related issue or your PC is just too messy, definitely NOT The OS's fault.

    Simple fix, Reformat.

But... That's the reason I have W7. My comp had stopped working, and they decided to install W7.
Worked fine until today. My comp is messy, but that wasn't a problem in XP 64 bit

Well that sounds good.. Except it's simply not right, I didn't use my comp in all day, and yesterday everything worked just fine.

Use Windows restore and set your PC back to when everything was working.

God no, not again. I'm still re-installing stuff and deleteing registry's, not to mention that I really want my computer now.

But it was a different issue, my graphics card was dirty or something idk, but my monitor just wouldn't get signal. How is that related to internet and mp3 files?

I literally get a message when I try to play an mp3 file.

You casually forgot to mention that when you wrote you flame baiting opening post.

Start>All Programs>Accessories>System tool>System Restore which should fix all the damage you've done.

Hmm, It's not regedit, because I didn't delete anything.

Let's suppose it's not the OS. That all these programs coincidentially decided to bug, why is Windows media not working?

    Ideas?

    I'll try rebootig later anyway.

EDIT- It.. works? Great I guess

I'm all for destroying Microsoft but... Mozilla has a problem and you blame the OS?

But... That's the reason I have W7. My comp had stopped working, and they decided to install W7.

What do you mean "they"? You sent your thing for repairs and they decided to put 7 on it? Why on earth would anyone do that? The only possible reason I can think of was you needed a reformat and you couldn't get hold of the XP disc. Is that right?

It sounds like a virus rather than a spontaneous case of your operating system falling apart. In essence, windows doesnt generally change itself, if something worked yesterday and doesnt work today then its almost certainly either

    1)Unintentionally downloaded malware.
    2)Unintended user error.
3)Some kind of hardware error (faulty ram or hard drive perhaps).
4)Windows update has specifically broken your computer while negatively affecting no one else.#

I ordered them in order of what I consider most likely.

Hmm malware already? god damn it!
Naah I scanned my comp and it's clean. And I only downloaded M2TW patches... UNLESS THEY ARE INFECTED! SHOOT THEM!

It was probably windows update error, but now it's fine. Everything's working normally.

My brother and my brother in law. They're always ing up my stuff, though I guess you're right and installing W7 was necessary.

Yes mozilla failing was rather an isolated and unlucky event I think.
