after playing TATW for quite a long time I find myself not able to get back to kingdom now. in TATW it is easy for me to take out thousands of enemies with losses around hundreds. but now my loss ratio against AI goes to 1:5 and pikeman, once my favorite in TATW, sucks really hard in kingdom

btw, AI in kindom seems much better than TATW imo. enemies no longer enjoy bathing in the arrow rain and if i attack enemy, even they have only a few archers they will choose to hold their ground rather than run into my army.

when i returned to kingdoms after playing TATW for a long time, i chose byazntium in the crusades campaign.
i found it so easy at m/m that i got bored. i mean, i was suprised to see that my trade income was higher than my tax income and after a relaxed
and easy campaign (no garisson sripts. weehaa!), i was ready to attack the crusader states with several full stacks and about 15 k each turn, with low taxes
enjoyable, but nontheless boring

I've always LOLed at anyone and everyone who complains about a game being to easy.....and they play on anything less then VH/VH

Argh, I tried vanilla MTW - it's unbelievably boring. SS Teutonic campaign is the only way to relax from TA.

I found that a lot. I like trying to defeat the Timurids though, or trying the to fight the hardest of wars - i.e playing as Scotland, and then modifying each of the alliances to love each other, and with Arhcaons loyal allies installed, it means that they can only attack me, and increasing their king's purses, and granting them free money should they go into Debt.

One of my funnest was doing that as Scotland, and then gradually getting back the faith of the pope, and granting them all lands captured in Europe/Scandinavia and the American Lands. With such huge defences, they were pretty much awesome. Seeing the Pope eventually attack the Timurids and crush them is good fun. I plan to assassinate the Pope, or create a war, and then destroy the Pope. It's now about the Year 3000.

However, it's still a modification of a kind, so that's different.

But yeah, I found TATW quite difficult, used as I was to Vanilla. I then got used to it, and changed to SS, and found that different yet again. Moving on from there, I played Broken Crescent, and eventually came across Call of Warhammer, and it's campaign as Eastern Empire/Dwarves/Sylvania is insanely difficult. However, the playing styles are so different that coming back to TATW, even that's difficult.
