    Default Change unit repair times

    Hi,

Could anyone please tell me how to change the number of turns unit repairs take? (I'm a beginner to all this but obviously I'll read the various guides.)

    Thanks

I give you some tips how to do that.

First downloaded DB Editor 1.8 or Pack File Manager from TWCenter.

Using one of these great, useful editors open a file called "patch.pack file.

One of the tables is responsibile of the repair of the units.

I'm sure that You will find it, or stick to tutorial that explains almost all entries in patch.pack file.

If you found the table uncheck the option "only to read" make changes, save the changes , and that's all!

From all I know it seems to be hard-coded, and all units take 2 turn to retrain no matter what.

There seems to be a normal effect for retraining cost only if you need it.

There are getting to be fewer unmodifiable items on those tables and documentation of tools will warn you of such problems. As I've been reading in recent posts over last while, there is at least one tool to adjust or a work around to an issue it seems. Keep in mind that, you must have all drivers up to date and stuff like Network runtime 3.5 but this will be mentioned in the documentation of the tools. Tools are being upgraded and new plugins are being made for good free and reasonably priced modeling software around $50 that beats $2500-$4000(in CND) big time.
