Post it here.. but I'll start.
I am playing as France and I started out pretty well but my empire began to slip into decline after a while. Here is what happened. My first turns I started out building forts along all the roads leading the Paris and garrisoning them with one family member and a bunch of troops. The plan was to have them deploy when I need them to whenever I decide to attack and also to protect from HRE attacks from the east. As I predicted they did attack (a town north of Paris) but only stood by the city instead of attacking. I quickly mustered an army and built a fort right outside that city. The HRE went around it and attacked but I came behind them with the extra fort I made and drove them off with a clear victory. A Polish diplomat came by and offered an alliance, with trade rights and map info. I accepted, believing they would join the war against the HRE with me. And they did. The HRE attack south of Paris but since the area is very mountainous I was able to funnel their armies out one at a time. I decided to attack everyone on all side of France. After a while I was able to capture Caen and a town west of it. I also deployed some of the armies from my lne of forts to attack the HRE. Really I was burning through Germany with Poland on the other side eating away at the eastern HRE territory. Eventually, All the land that HRE had left was at the top of the boot of Italy and a piece of land by Denmark. I took that land, and I finally met up with the armies of Poland and I shared a border with Denmark. The HRE stayed quiet for awhile where they were, but something happened that I sort of saw coming. It was like coordinated, in one turn, both England and Denmark attacked. England marched straight to Paris and Denmark tried to gain the land I stole from the HRE. England eventually captured Paris (crap) and Denmark took the land they wanted. I was now in a three front war and Poland is in its own world. I guess they wanted out of the war.The HRE began to counter attack south of Paris again, and I was able to muster up an army to recapture Paris but england came up behind me and drove me away. I went back, only to find out I can't build ladders (walls are too high). So now my campaign is at a stalemate as I have to find out how I'll get Paris back, how to gain some land in the west and fend of HRE invaders in the South. Crap...
