    Default Making a new normal.dds - need advice

    Hello everyone,

    I am trying to make new normals for my units with gimp, the standard procedure is quite clear for me, but there's one problem left:

    when i make the normal map, i always have the green channel on, changing the results to an unwanted result, has anyone experience with that. After producing the normal you cant remove green channel and you also can't work in several channel at all (always you change something in one channel alle channels are changed).

    Could someone help me?!

    Perhaps you will need to remove any Alpha Channels from the texture.
