Optimal SS Version?

If I want best gameplay, what mods do I have to install apart from 6.1 and 6.2?
I like RR and RC. What else would I need?

Just get Point Blank's RR/RC compilation, if you don't use it already. It contains a lot of other mods and it's easy to install.

Cripes, I wish folk would just answer the question, a reasonable question, deserves an answer.

6.1, select the RR/RC tickbox, might want to leave BGR3, until you are use to SS, also
6.1, with Battle for the Baltic v2.0 sub mod, fabulous with new skins on Novgorod, Kievan Rus, Mongols and Poland, excellent map and quick turn time.

Infact 6.1 has many sub mods, check out 6.1 sub mods thread.

6.2, only one way to play this one, is with Point Blanks 6.2 RR/RC Mod, lots of eye candy, plus option to use different Battle AI, Campaign AI, BGR4

Don't really like BGR4 (if that's supply script)...

They certainly are, make sure when you download, you follow instructions and install recent hotfix.
6.2 apparently harder to play,

Please download and install both of them in the order of attached threads above. The 2nd one is an update that includes a bug fix to correct a script error

As I understand, install SS 6.1 with RR/Rc and BGR unticked. And then the RR/RC compilation, it uncludes the 6.2 already in itself.
I installed only 6.2 and will have to reinstall after I dl RR/RC compilation. Damn!

Btw, RR/RC 6.2 works with the latest game patch which is 1.5 right? I'm guessing yes but better ask just to be sure...
