    Default Increasing unit sizes

Is it possible within SS to increase the unit size/? I`m thinking of perhaps X2 vanilla on huge. i.e.240 for infantry.

I do not think thats possible, and it would cause numerous problems as well, e.g your troops would not fit on the walls, nor in cities. And you had best own a supercomputer to run armies with unit sizes such as you mentioned

Of course you could try and fiddle with the text files in your medieval folder, but I would not recommend it. I once made the same mistake...

    I have done one, here's a link: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=322454
It's a very balanced mod which increases the size of all units except bodyguards. Additionally it increases light units' speeds and slightly decreases heavy units' speeds, thus now it's easier to your missile cavalry to run away from enemy heavy cavalry.
Not only that, it also greatly increases crossbow's range... up to 340 m. Now it's very wise to use even Peasant Crossbowmen, due to their massive range (something around 240 m) when compared to Peasant Archers.

If you decided to use this, remember to download the patch 1.1 which is also attached to my post.

I like large battles as much as anyone, but man, increasing unit sizes leads to sieges being even more painful and irritating. /weep.

I started to autoresolve all my sieges. Better for my nerves and the AI gets to win a few fights for a change...
