    Hello
    What about
    the ttw_uniform_to_faction_colours & ttw_uniforms I see no entries for your 40th_grenediers_regiment , but the directory is there;
    Is it necessary ?

for old type ETW unit nor uniform nor uniform_to_faction_colours are needed.
If I leave them in mod is because I imported all db directory at once, and as first action I renamed all tables with ttw prefix not bothering if they had entries or not for my unit (40th_gren...) then once edited all tables I simply forgot to delete them , anyway they did not cause any troubles to game. such tables are used only to set a variantmodelsID which refer to variantmodels directory, while the untis that use ETW model type has texture and meshes in unitmodels directory. Uniform_to_faction_Colours refers only to xxxxxx_colour_mask.atlas and xxxxxx_colour_mask.dds in variantmodels/units/atals directory. Take a look there for more explanations http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=347507

There several issue I do not understand in your mod.
first you want to add only a rigid model (engine) using NapoleonTW vanilla crew? I reckon it cannot work properly.
there are no warscape...... tables. Hence how to tell game engine what animation, mesh and texture are to be loaded.
are you sure you did all changes in units_stats_land and unit tables (warscape equipment theme idref?)
    battle personalities table?

King Sama´s "elephants mod" and MD´s "ottomans" are an example of how some brilliant members of our forum took units from ETW.

How can replace in a new custom faction the Officers Staff by a single custom unit (meshes + texture ) ?

I am not sure about your goal. If you want to add an ETW officer type, from battle_personalities_table to a new NTW model unit, I reckon it is not possible, I guess all actor must be of same type (or all ETW or all NTW) but I did not tested it, so make a try
If you just want to change officer staff soldier.unit_variant, you simply change with the xxxxx.soldier.unit_variant you wish. But check if all texture are in relates atlas set
If you want to change the officer, change only officer.unit_variant with the one you prefer
please, be more detailed in your question so I can answer more exactly.

I want to create a New faction with No Officers in it.
So when I did so ; I could'nt see my units because it seems that the faction needs at least a mounted unit i.e General_staff etc ...
I f you remove this unit none of the other units show up
So I am asking if their is a solution
What I have in ming is this :

A privateer faction with no legal officer

well, just create a general stuff but make them like a normal unit, I guess problem is for single battle, not campain, so if you just give to a unit the role of general staff in unit and unit_land_stats tables, it should work.
You can do it just with PFM copy row, add row, paste row commands, do not use clone row because until Erasmus will not fix it, there is a bug a some values are not cloned and mod will cause CTD.
After pasted the general staff row, leave all the "class" and the unknown column with string value "general" in units table and enter the your new unit values in all other columns.
it should work. I hope. let us know
about the officer in single units, or just delete the entry in units_stats_land in officer column, or edit in battle_personalities table the officer giving him another role/personality, standard_bearer, drummer, bugler. You should also edit his related entries in warscape and warscape_animated tables.
    cheers

In GEN_unit_to_unit_abilities_junctions you use wrong unit name.

There are also 2 problems in GEN_warscape_animated_lod. There 5 flutist models and 3 bearer and there are a couple of same id numbers in first column.

I do not know if there is anything else.

    Hi Husserl

I've got a little problem with the menu of a mod I'm making

When I select my faction Corsaire enabled as French_rebel playable I've got a default unit stack (grey)
I need to press the red cross to see my units
Do you know how to see the units when clicking on the flag
