I thought a little bit about this wonderful mod and everytime got to one point. The game always goes the way that when the hard time in the beginning is over, i just garrison my cities just with the maximum of freeupkeep units which dont cost anything for me and the rest of my army throwing at the enemy. When this happens the game begins to get easy.
So why dont implement a special script for those who want more challenge? For example i am playing as Rohan and at turn 30 i get a message which says: Scouts have discovered that Saruman is mustering an army which will advance at Helms Deep, prepare your defences in 3 turns.
Then you have to put as many troops as you can in Helms Deep and 3 turns later an army spawns and attacks Helms Deep.
And this script for every important city like Helms Deep, Edoras, Minas Tirith, Dol Amroth, Rivendell and so on, and for the evil factions too, this would prevent that you throw your whole army at the enemy, your advance will be slower and you have to protect your important cities with a much more garrison which will limit your expansion to a realistc size. And not for the AI only for the human player.
For example the siege of Minas Tirith, the southern provinces of Gondor only sent 1/10 of their troops to help, the rest 9/10 were held back because of the corsairs, i would love to see that ingame and its possible Call of Warhammer is doing it already.
