And there are no European territories in the mod. Historical accuracy could be overlooked there, but it's also somewhat unfair for only one faction to get late-era troops.

First of all, I'm really looking forward to 3.0 and all the releases that come before that (I've already been starting to use my faction heir to up his authority in preparation for the succession script).
Just some quick questions: how is the Delhi Sultanate going to be implemented? It says emergent faction, but is going to be like the Kalmar Union or will be like the Mongols? If it is like the Kalmar Union, which faction will you need to be to implement it?
Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!![]()
playable mongols? hope so,until then we wait for 2.4
There will never be playable Mongols in BC.
What would you do with them in 1174? Start uniting Mongol tribes? On what map?
like in stainless steel, you can start a late era campaign in 1220
Too much of a bother for just one faction. We have a dozen more interesting factions in the menu, so... no playable Mongols.

very great job!! I can't wait... when will it be released?
Mushkila! this is the only mod i have been waiting for so long....so we will not see 3.0 as the next release but 2.4??? i just hope 2.4 is nice and all and i just wish Islamic Factions have more troops to choose from.
See this thread:

Teasers? Well we've nearly got a preview ready and lets just say that 2.4 will have more factions and one thing from the BC 3.0 Pre-Preview....![]()
will choose the faction heir to the 3.0? because I don't think you could in 2.4.
wow I can't believe it was announced more than two years ago... time flies
hi everyone i am new to this forum and bc and sorry for my bed english. I played 2.02 version. I am looking forward to see the new version and i wanna say something. I found ai's diplomacy is really hard and mostly redicilious. Ai has last their city. They about to be destroyed. And i say them ceasefire and i will give the city i've just captured and give them 10.000 florins and tribute 1000 florins every turn for 10 turn. İ think you should make diplomacy easy than this. And so much rebels everywhere. Untill 50 turn no fighting exept holy land and anatolia. 30 factions are really nice but we will wait turn time so much i think. And cavalary must be weaker. They are so difficult to kill. And i really loved musics in this mod. I love it. Greatest music ever!! these all for 2.02 mod. I didnt played upgraded versions. And upkeep is so expensive. Other mods and mtw 2 you can have 4 full stack armies for 20.000 florins. But in this mod cavalary's upkeep are so expensive. that's all my ideas thank you for making this mod.I love you guys.By the way im from Turkey and my english is not well sorry again![]()
How is the mongol invasion scripted for 2.3 and how do you plan to script it for 2.4/3.0? The reason I'm asking is that I'd really like to see mongols pushing towards Syria. I'd love to have a chance to stop them playing as ayyubids. Any chance of meeting them near Damascus? Would making capturing syrian regions victory criteria for them help?
Nobody expects the Spanish inquisition...
Welcome, enes!
Thanks for your suggestions. Yes, diplomacy is tough in BC, but hey! that's Total War, after all.Although we may work on it a bit in the future.
Nothing changed in 2.3. That's the same basic script as in 2.02, which means armies are spawned and pushed to siege Samarkand and Bukhara. After these two cities are conquered it is AI what directs the Mongols.
We are not working on Mongols now, so nothing will change in 2.4. And I can't really tell much about 3.0, simply because I don't know how will we solve it.
Thank you all guys your job is really hard. Bc 3.0 announced 2 years ago and i can guess how hard your work is. I really admire you. I will explain all my thinks about the game
and i will suggest some i hope you care my wordsby the way these are all about 2.02, i didnt play yet upgraded versions. First i want to recruit strong units in early era and recruit how much i want. Recruitable is not enough. For example i can't play with turkish ghazis or peasants against my enemies that surrender me. No balance
in battles cuz of this. And i want to build caliph's stables early time not in 300. turn. By the way i am having a problem loading saved games. The game is crashed sometimes maybe
i installed something wrong... Actually the game gets bored to me after 200 turn this is my idea maybe others like untill 600. And i see that you made huge changes to game. It's really different from normal mtw 2.
Upkeeps are so expensive and it's hard to have large armies but ai has it. Cavalry defence is too high and i saw in my battle that one cavalry was fighting with
37 horse archers. And he fought more than 2 minutes that's really interesting. Building are more expensive but more effective.I say again sounds are perfect and i never see like this before in any mod. I don't know where you find this musics from but it's really great.
sometimes i stopped the game and listen campaign's battle musics in campaign. And i like engine it plays good but diplomacy is hard. Ai just reject even generous offer. It should make counter offers we should know what ai wants from us it just reject and doesn't even care
and i offer something it says generous but no accepting. if ai won't accept why does it say very generous? And i think spies shouldnt open the door because it's just like cheating. Ai cant attack in one turn but human can attack with spies or siege machines. And this makes ai weaker against human. This should be removed. And rebelion cities are so strong and it makes the game boring i mean untill 50 turn factions try to capture rebel cities and no war between them. maybe this wont be happen in 3.0 cuz new factions will be added.
Thank you all again and good luck all of you. I am looking forward to see![]()
