Need help...

This maybe sounds stupid but I can't find the mod for unlocking all factions in BI, so can someone help me?

First of all welcome to the forum. You don't really need to use a mod to unlock all factions. Simply edit the \BI\data\world\maps\campaign\barbarian_invasion\descr_strat.tx file (make sure that you take a copy of it before you make any changes.

When you're editomg make sure that the alignment of the factions is the same as the other ones - a lot of the RTW files are exported Excel spreadhsstes that have been converted to text files. Position is important for some text. The safest way is to keep them aligned - also don't use tabs.

I'm not sure which factions should not be played - usually there is one faction (slaves) that is never intended to be used.

I've seen some people download a mod that does what you want, however, they can cause problems for your install - I think it depends upon which original version of RTW/RTW BI you have.

I'm not saying the link that diplomat4war is such a thing.

It's so easy to change the file yourself - there is no need to download a mod to do it for you.

I'm not saying you wrong, but I've discover the 'Rebel Commander' mod comes with a starting script and a readme with all info you want to know. It's working for me with the RTW Gold Edition 1.6.

The britons faction should not in the playable list as there are problems with trying to play the britons faction in unmodded BI. There is a download which enables them, though I can't remember it off hand.
