I was thinking about downloading it, but I am just asking if anyone has downloaded the mod and also has Medieval downloaded from Steam?

VAE VICTUS!
There are people who have the steam version and use KGCM but i believe they have to use a work around in way of renaming it one of the normal expansions so that steam will start eg rename KGCM to the americas campaign so that steam will recognise it and start it.![]()
And rename the Kingdom-Launcher in Launcher (backup the original before).
When steam is the answer i dont want to know what the fking question was...
May the earth be light upon you, lest the dogs can dig you out more easy.
I'm about to find out!
UPDATE: Yes and no. It starts, I get the splash screen, and then it quits. I haven't the foggiest idea why.![]()

I have both Medieval 2 and Kingdoms downloaded from Steam. Worked for me fine. I installed the KGC mod 3.0 then 4.2 as described on the forum. Ran XBAI and XCAI. All working no modification needed. It lists it correctly on the starter too. The only thing during installation was to ensure it was install to the correct directory i.e. F:\Steam\steamapps\common\medieval ii total war or if the one selected "data" i.e. C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval 2\Data select the Steam data version. It did list that it may not work, but it did for me.
The game is soo much better now, with XBAI and XCBAI 4.0, very challenging. Have stopped playing the new total wars for this.
Also, Im using Windows 7 x64, what operating system are you on? Good idea to back the game up, try install and then revert back if it fails.
