Default DB Schema [1.8] - knowing unknown columns & tables

Schema for DB editor updated up to 1.8 version which enables the edition of:

    • Some tables not recognized in the program by default as:
      • Season_tables
      • Historical_characters_tables
      • Historical_characters_trait_tables

    • And replace unknown column names in many tables:
      • Battle_entities: Melee resistance, projectile res., deceleration, .... (only 2 unknown tables)
      • Units_naval_stats: Turn rate speed, degree coefficient speed, bound/pitch by waves,...
      • Projectile
      • Projectile_explosion
      • Agents_tables.
      • Technology_tables.
      • Campaign_ai_personalities
      • Campaign_difficulty_handicap_effects
      • Commodities_demand_junction
      • Commodities
      • Gun_types
      • unit_class_to_population_class_priorities
      • unit_stats_naval_crew
      • Warscape_animated_lod
      • Warscape_animated
      • Warscape_rigid_lod
      • Warscape_rigid
      • Wind_levels
      • Fatigue_effects
      • (Possibly many more, I don't annotate every change)

The file will be updated periodically as soon as I found what the unknown columns are, the structure of other tables -there are many more-, or some fixes.

    HOW TO ACTIVATE IT:

Your DB editor folder should contain:

    Code:
    DBEditor.exe.config
    DBEditor.exe
    DB.xsd
DB.pack20_04_xx (Is a backup of the schema created automatically by DBE editor which is not always present in the folder. The numbers are the date so it variates.)
    Common.dll
Make a backup of your file ''DB.xsd''. Then copy the new ''DB.xsd'', the file you have downloaded, to the DBeditor folder.
    Run the program.

    UPDATED.
battle_entities (almost finished, only 2 unknown columns)
    fatigue_effects (all)
    projectiles
    and others
    ...

Thanks to DarthVader for the info about the tables related with units and indirect tweaks in AI (battle_entities, fatigue_effects, and others).

Great initiative, Isabel! I've wondered about the meanings of many columns. Knowing their functions could be very useful. Thanks for trying

No, your problem is other because DBeditor 1.8 is fully able to open patch4.pack by default.

I'm not able to understand it.
DB 1.8 works with patch4.pack, and I say this because I'm able to do it and all the mods that have been released after the patch have needed to edit it.

Have you tried with my DB schema? And revise the folder, it should contain what has been posted at top.

this is a re-occuring problem. i just reinstalled etw there - same problem.

could it simply be a building_unit_allowed issue? iv downloaded your db schema, and it makes no difference.

Issue? but only in your case.
Have you tried to use the common.dll from pack file manager? (make backups)
I think that was the fix for all the other patches.

..... You have a problem which I don't know how to solve.
Put the original file ''common.dll'' to DBE editor folder and wait for the next release of DB (1.9?).
Maybe your problem is related with Net framework (last version; or better since 2.0 version, all are required) or you SO (in my case, XP 32 bits is working).

Does this reduce DB schema error messages which constantly force me to exit DB Editor when I am editing mods?

No. The schema doesn't solve the problems based on the code of the program.
