    depends on the time though.

if you cry for pity, ya i dont think that's manly. (like in the godfather clip).

but if your close relative or friends died, i think it's ok to cry i guess.

    Real men do cry.

    When it's important. Like, rarely.

I only really cry when someone dies. I've never seen my own father cry, even when people die. I guess he does it in private in the bathroom.

ha, ha, ha, snicker , snicker, snicker.
In this age of equal rights for women, these arbitrary definitions of what a man is supposed to be are the equivalent of putting a ball and chain on your sons and sending them out to run a race with girls. No wonder you are getting your a-- kicked.

Yes, just want to say it's natural to express your emotions by crying.
Also it could be far more beautiful in a way when man cries. Everyone is human being after all.

People shouldn't cry unless physically hurt (in which case it's a by product of adrenaline and shock) or when faced with severe emotional distress like deaths.

I can't stand people who cry for the smallest reason, regardless whether they're men or women.

crying at a funeral, sure that's ok.

there are moments where it's ok for a man to cry without looking like a puffball of a man

a real man is 45/46 ths a woman in man's clothes.

.. possibly more ( how many genes in the y chromosome can swap?)

surely every time a woman is attracted to an aggressive man, she is just saying what kind of a man she'd like to be.

Depends on the context and the way of crying (yelling like an infant is not acceptable in any situation ). All in all, I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with a man crying. I generally try to refrain when I get the impulse (very rarely).

The only reason you would agree with this statement is if you think men should try to follow some sort of absurd macho ideal. Of course men should cry if they feel like it.

Yes I agree with the title. Men do not cry. The most we are allowed to show is one manly tear. Better save that for special occasions, death of a parent or child, etc. Use it too often and your a pussy.

    Dead serious.

If a child of yours dies and the most you can manage is one tear; that's the behavior of a heartless bastard.

It's not about "all you can manage", its about all you allow. Of course you feel sad, but you control it, cause your not a pussy or a woman.

Well I feel quite secure in my masculinity by saying that should one of my children die, I'd be openly weeping at the very least.
You can keep your stoic machoism.

Real men have a penis. What they do beyond that doesn't make them any less real.
I have approximate answers and possible beliefs, and different degrees of certainty about different things, but I’m not absolutely sure of anything, and many things I don’t know anything about. But I don’t have to know an answer. I don’t feel frightened by not knowing.

I don't think men shouldn't cry ever however I agreed anyway because I do think that in anything but the absolute worst of situations (death of your direct family), a man does not cry.

I won't pretend that this is a rational belief: it's just that whenever I see a man cry (and I see it every now and then these days, thank you very much, feminists) it does not feel good. When you're in a situation where a man cries because something is not going his way or something, it's like all his masculinity gets sucked out of him. And people remember those moments.

Men are supposed to have a certain degree of stoicism, the sense that whatever happens they will not be phased or overtaken by emotions. It's not just how we were raised and how our culture is geared, it's also how we are wired to an extent.

Quite a sexist comment in my opinion. If your in a war ravaged country like Afghanistan and your WHOLE family was blown to bits and your holding whats left to your son I Gurantee you will cry. It's impossible not to, the human body cries when under physical distress or extreme mental distress. That's why when there a soldiers dying on the field you can hear their cries to their mothers, it's true.

A real man isn't based on holding back tears. He is based on his actions.

Well, I'm a man, so no I would not cry. Single tear? Perhaps, if I'm low on sleep. Thats about all you can hope for.

And one act is not being a blubbering little women via crying.
