Default Why does the game return to default settings?

I started to play as Turkish Sultanate. When I quit the game, all settings including video, audio, game and campaign settings return to default ones as if I have a deep-freeze program installed on my pc. Why does that happen? Please emergent solutions!!

You can deal with it in following way:

    1. Start the mod.
    2. Change the settings as you want.
    3. Exit the mod.
    4. Open your M2TW main directory and find 'configfixer.bat' - start the file and here you go, you don't have to repeatedly change the settings anymore.

    The file cannot be started

Thats what I did when I first started playing BC. Oddly enough as the game was patched I never needed to re-use it.

    What do you mean?

All you need is to click it twice as if you would open any other file, and forget about it - just check whether your settings aren't changing every time your exit the mod.

It does not work. I tried it several times and found another way. There is a bc file. I changed the settings manually in it. But I couldn't find how to change "shadow, texture and grass" detail settings as medium.

The reason for this is that:
The game starts using the bc.cfg configuration file.
When you change your settings, though, these changes get written into the medieval2.preference.cfg file.
On restart, the game loads from bc.cfg again, so that your changes are "lost" (strictly speaking, they aren't, they're just written into an unused file).

    So:
Start the game, change your settings, shut down game.
Then, open both bc.cfg and medieval2.preferences.cfg (with a standard text editor, like Notepad), and compare these two. If you notice a difference that corresponds to a setting you changed, edit bc.cfg. (There are tools to help you compare, like WinMerge, but not really necessary.)
After you've saved your altered bc.cfg, the game should load your custom settings.

The problem is not about deepfreeze program. I think, BC is using normal M2TW settings file. So try to change normal M2TW settings in game and than play BC. If you still need to change BC settings manually, try to copy some sentence (about settings) from normal M2TW preference file to BC preference file.
