Family tree mod
Is there anyone out there that thinks they could make a few tweaks to the family tree system? I dont know how to mod but maybe someone else could pick this idea up. Here are a few ideas that may make building a royal family a bit more complex than just watching and waiting.
Most important to the core idea of this mod is giving every daughter the same abilities as a princess, (even if she just bore the name family member) This would allow you to personally choose who she married. In the midevil times, most men would marry at about 40 and women at 14-18. This would add a new dimension to the game as your most deserving generals would get better wives... not that you couldnt still marry them young.
It should also be an option to send an undesirable christian daughter, or one who has become rather old, to the church to be a nun. Undesirable sons could be sent to the church to act as a priest on the campaign map. Therefore, a couple should be able to have up to 6 kids, not that this should be common.
Every time there is a child born, there should be a slight chance of its mother dying in childbirth, and if that is to happen, the husband should be able to re-marry if you think this right. Furthermore, if the father dies after his wife has died in childbirth, their underage children would become orphans... and maybe there could be some kind of adoption option. Relitives or brothers/sisters of age taking them in and what not.
There should also be a disown option for family members who embarass or shame your nation. If a family member is disowned, they should have a chance of going rebel (and generating a decent sized army), defecting to an enemy faction, or simply dissapearing (going into exile). Furthermore, if another faction disowned a family member, and they are looking for retribution, you should be able to either sponser them with troops, take them in, or turn them away.
As terrible as it sounds, infanticide (the killing of unwanted newborns) was common in the middle ages, and could come into play somehow. And if this offends you, nobody has complained about the "exterminate town" button... just saying
If a marrige is not producing kids, an annulment button should be available.
Since all daughters would be controlled by the player untill marriage, you could offer them to other factions in diplomacy, and demand ceasfires, money, map info, or other wives as a dowery. "Give/Demand Woman" could work like "Give/Demand settlement". If a woman does change factions, then she appears in the other factions capitol, where the player, or the CPU could then choose a husband for her.
These are most of my ideas, but that doesnt mean that there arnt other options. The game would be made much more interesting if the family tree became more tangible. I would love for someone to develop this

most of the stuff is impossible due to the limitations of the M2TW engine, so you are out of luck.

ok, then what about a patch that just turns all daughters into princesses
