Weathertop minimod for 1.4.1 "under construction"

Weathertop minimod

After playing the game for a long time one of the nicest details i had seen are the eventmovies.. They really add more flavour into the game and make it more versatile.. So i decided to try and implement the Weathertop.. An icon of the Weathertop will be added on it's correct position in the campaignmap. When discovered a eventvideo will start with a small historic description regarding lore..


This is how far the minimod has progressed:

Moddling/skinning: finished by Jarlaxe
Movie: finished by Eöl_Nauglamír
Technical support: by Eöl_Nauglamír
Lore research: finished by me (Patrician1)
Scripting/coding: making some progress (my first attempt)

If everything goes as planned it might be up pretty soon but i really have a hard time with scripting it.

yeah jarlaxe made the weathertop.. i just had the idea, found some people who could help, worked a bit on lore and i'm scripting now.. haha but thanks for the rep anyway

I was told there where some resources left and in my files I indeed had a few open as far as I understand.. but I really don't have a lot of wisdom in this area.. so I will need to find this out i guess

no not right now but i wanted to look into this posibillity sometime for there is a battle map Weathertop available as custom map somewhere

Don't think that's gonna happen. Like it has been stated many times battle-map editing is really tricky even more if you're implementing a custom model.

yeah so i heard.. difficult with pathfinding i guess.. but maybe if someone figures it out some time (if it gets figured out) then it could be done..
