I don't mean the specific species just what would it be classed as in the general sense?

The wheel is spinning, but the hamster is dead.
A...bird?
Nah, it's a special class of predatory, land-ridden birds.

It's an intermediary evolution between reptiles and birds. Fairly easily predicted if you believe in the idea of evolution. Similar to the platypus. There's evidence that many late dinosaurs were developing feathers and warm blood and lighter stronger bones much earlier than birds ever appeared. It is suggested that the T-Rex's children have been mis-catalogued as intermediary species when in reality they simply lost their down feathers as they grew older.
sure looks like a Terror Bird.
Come on, say it's a Terror Bird. I dare you.
An evolutionary nightmare. It would take many generations of random breeding between rather abnormal reptiles to achieve this.
I would say it's a small, feathered cousin to the velociraptor.

the suspense is killing me
is it a terror bird or not?
You more or less have it, it's a dromaeosaurid dinosaur though it's not a direct bird ancestor it just has a feathers and beak combo which makes it look very much like a bird.

The wheel is spinning, but the hamster is dead.
A new mobile phone tower went up in a town in the USA, and the local newspaper asked a number of people what they thought of it. Some said they noticed their cellphone reception was better. Some said they noticed the tower was affecting their health.
A local administrator was asked to comment. He nodded sagely, and said simply: "Wow. And think about how much more pronounced these effects will be once the tower is actually operational."
I don't see what the point of debating which category something that could be accurately categorized as a dinosaur, reptile or bird is.
Yes there's transitions in evolution and most of them lead to dead ends but the general idea that reptiles -> birds.
a weird thing mostly caused by incest maybe?
To be a bird I think it just needs to have feathers and wings, the very first birds didn't have beaks but jaws with teeth.
