Barbarossa Crusade
Hey all,
I've been looking for a crusade thread but couldn't find any, neither am I really keen on decrypting the campaign.script data. So I'll plainly ask: I've been playing as ERE and KOJ - after the KOJ lost Jerusalem, Richards army was spawned at Acre - always. But Barbarossas crusade was only triggered sometimes. What are the events that trigger each of these crusades?

Re: Barbarossa Crusade
No, I don't know the exact workings of it but it works as a one-time request to the pope for assistance, NOT as an 'insurance policy' that works in the same city after you lose it. The pope is much more likely to call a new crusade if you lose some settlements first - even more likely with the loss of important settlements like Acre and Jerusalem - and you 'build' the Request Papal Assistance in another settlement you still own. That much I know; I've never tried it. Most players of KoJ don't get the chance to lose these settlements in order to make a successful request for assistance, they usually defend KoJ well (on the other hand, players of the Ayyubids sometimes experience a crusade wave once they capture settlements of KoJ).
