The United States had little to no role in the European wars.
Actually Napoleon wanted Great Britain to go to war against USA so that Great Britain would have to use troops and supplies to defend Canada. Here is a link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napoleo...rs#War_of_1812
I would love to see the USA playable but, since they had no real military contact with mainland europe during the Napoleonic wars, I find it very unlikely. Like Amazing horse said it might be a DLC but, I doubt it.![]()
During 1812 the War of 1812 was being fought between the USA and Great Britain.
- The European campaign starts in 1805
- Only one of the great powers of the era was engaged in the War of 1812, as such it would be rather foolish to have Austria, for example, able to declare war and invade the USA
Did you forget Canada?
And if I am correct this is the last war between US, Canada, Britain. If you also look into the casualties and everything else the Americans had more than Britain although I can't be sure about Canada. I enjoy saying that to Americans who say "we won the independant war".
Erm but yeah, this had almost no effect on the battles going on in Europe. France had trade between US of A and that had alot to do with the war there but, there was direct affair with America and Europe apart from trade. So this would be pretty pointless. You may see it in DLC but I doubt it will impress anyone apart from the Americans and a handfull of fanboys. I'd much rather see an expansion showing the map from ETW. Ahhh how good ETW's map was... thats one thing they got right atleast.
We Came, We Saw, We Ran Away!
Basing who wins a war off of casualty statistics...well then I suppose that the Central Powers won WW1. The Axis won WW2. US won in Vietnam. The South won the Civil War and so on and so forth.....interesting viewpoint. And no Canada wasn't part of the war as a country, it was still part of Great Britain. Canada became independent in 1867.
Any way, back on topic, the US didn't play a major role during the course of the game. It should be left out.

Having said what I just did, it would be terribly satisfying to be able to burn Washington as the British.
Well cant you have a French flag flying over London? But that never happened.
