Default no guide says how to change battle formations

I have looked through every guide posted on here. The game manual. Everything.

You guys have everything I could imagine... EXCEPT

How do you change the battle formations to all of the cool ways everyone talks about?
The box in the bottom right corner lets you run, stop, guard, etc... whoop de doooo.

Selecting units and right clicking just moves them. I know everyone on here knows how to make cool battle formations, so can someone please help me?

There also is not a single "controls list" or whatever you would like to call it on the internet. Someone amaze me with how easy it is please. WHat am I missing?

    Thanks

If you mean how deep the formation is and what direction it is facing, hold down right-click and you can determine it yourself. Is this what you were asking for?

After you have made your formations, but then you have to turn them, you can select your units and use the < and > keys to rotate them.

I have no idea what you are talking about but most people make battle formations MANUALLY.
They play the game by moving the units using their keyboard and mouse.
Did you really read the game manual?
Then I'm guessing you know how to move units around.
(Left click) to select, (Right click) to move/attack.
(Ctrl Left click) to select more than one unit.
(Right click drag) to form a line.
It seems to me that you are missing a brain...or hand to eye coordination.

Alternatively select all units (ctrl A), then group them. (Press the buttons on the bottom right corner whoop de dooo)(or press G). Then press one of those button on the bottom right (whoop de dooo) that is called the "Group fromation" button. Select one of 8 useless formations. Congratulations, you now read what I can remember of the manual.

    Do you see your mouse/touchpad?
    Move your mouse/finger around.
You might see an arrow move around corresspondingly.
    This is called a cursor.

When the cursor is over a unit card or unit, you can click a button to select the unit.
If your unit isn't selected, make sure you can control your hand movements and that the cursor is over the unit.
If it is over the unit, check that you pressed the correct button.
Usually the button is on your mouse, or next to your touchpad.
It is the left hand side button.
Congratulations, you have selected your first unit.

Now move your cursor to the area where you want your unit to go to.
Press the Right hand side button. It might make a clicky sound.
    The unit should move.
Congratulations, you have moved your unit.

Now here comes the hard part.
Drag the mouse with your the right hand side button held.
This should make a line along where the curser was drag.
Congratulations, now you can make your first formation!

Ahhhh, the RIGHT CLICK DRAG. That was what I could not find. Now I know what to do. THANKS!!

... Next question. I saw a video on you tube where the guy's pointer button either turned into a shield or a red stick/line/something. Again, this is not explained anywhere... WHat does that do?

Are there any other CTRL clicks or alt double right click or hotkeys? and what do they do? Again, not in the prologue...
Whatever you want to call them, shortcuts or hotkeys...?

One more. How do you make your units, after their group is selected, march in their formation without breaking it?

You are welcome for the thanks.

If you press ctrl, I think the cursor looks like a plus(+) and a sheild to show that you can select more units.

If you press shift, you get a downward red arrow. This represents that you can tell them where they can go in a waypoint.

Double left click selects all of same unit.
Double right click makes them run.

Alt click to tell them where to go without breaking formation.

This is all in the manual...which you have claimed to have read.

Advice: If you want to play multiplayer, don't waste time watching youtube videos, its always better to play games instead. If you want to play single player, then it doesn't matter what you do.
