Need Help!

I am having trouble installing the mod. I have played in on XP and loved it. I now have windows 7 and I having trouble installing it. I have no idea what I am doing wrong.

I have rtw gold with bi. Installed both and have them patched to 1.6. Then I downloaded Plat 1.9. Went through the install, changed directory from Activision to The Creative Assembly. Of course had a problem with end of the installer and removing maps, but I don't think that is my problem.

When I start BI (plat) the screen goes black for a min then back to desktop and bi icon still in bottom tray and wont open. I have to ctl alt del to end the program. When I start RTR it shows the loading screen for a min and then does the same thing. I checked the exe that appeared after install and I believe they are going to the right place.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks for the help in advance!

have you got AUC off? that was a problem for me when i started on vista ...

Thanks, I will try that. I have AUC set somewhere in the middle of the slider but I will try reinstall with it off.

Ok, I disabled AUC and reinstalled but I am still having the same problem. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks!
