    Hi,

    This is an edited version of the startpos mod by hussarTW.
    Only thing changed is the end date for the campaign from 1812/1813 into 1820.


    I'll probably going to add some other modifications here in the future as well.

    I also added a little pack file which adds some units to the Batavian Republic. Please note these are original units from other factions and for some the name has to be adjusted in the future. As this is a mod file you also have to put the following into the user.script file : mod "Carabinier.pack"; . Units are : Old Guard (should be renamed in the future), Carabiniers, Hussars and cuirassiers.

    Update 06-04-2010 :

    Added my new Batavian (Dutch) units pack.
    It's not entirely historically correct, but it's in my opinion better than the original units.
    Just unzip the pack and put it into your data folder.
    Please also add this to your user.script : mod "mod_new_dutch.pack";

    is there anyway u can use all at once all do i need to keep changing the startpos files everytime i want to play a different nation?

    Regarding the carabinier.pack.
    The new units are mainly white, since that seems to be the default color for the Batavian Republic.
    According to a book I have regarding Dutch uniforms from that period, that seems to be right by the way.

    Only I don't like the hussars being almost completely white, so perhaps someone would like to retexture them?

    When the Unit Editor comes out (??), I'm going to totally redo the Batavian Republic army.

    Okay!

    Is there someone by the way, who can tell me how I can change unit names?

    I've added the Old Guard to Batavian Republic, but they are still being called Old Guard.
    I would like to rename this unit into something like Garde Grenadiers (Dutch for Guard Grenadiers).

    I don't really know actually.
    I just heard somewhere on this forum that CA is going bring out something like a uniform editor in the future.

    Gill don't add old guard to Holland.

    It shouldn't actually be Old Guard, but something like Garde Grenadiers (Guard Grenadiers). But I still have to figure out how to rename units and the stats have to be adjusted still.
    Perhaps I should have used another grenadier unit for it.

    There was by the way a unit of Dutch grenadiers that was part of the Old Guard in real life, but that was somewhat later (around 1810 or so).

    What about the ships? Do I still need to add them manually? Some factions don't have them like the Papal States...

    What hapoppend wen you are in 1812 in the game? You canot Continue? (I never play to 1812.)

    I havent played until 1812 too.I assume u see some sort of movie like in the italian and egypt campaign.

    Actually I don't know yet, haven't come that far yet either.
    If anyone comes this far, could he or she then mention here what happens?

    My current un-modded (as far as times go) Campaign is at early March 1813, in January 1813 it just comes up with a box saying "Defeat" and then the options "Continue" or "End", if you press continue it just carries on.
