Unit settings

I have my Unit detail set to Ultra, but when I view the units on battlefield from a distance, they do not have the walking/running animation and appear low resolution. They're back to normal after zooming in again. Is there a setting I can change to have them show full animation at all distance? Thanks.

yes mods, this is something called lod, and currently there are 4 levels, there is a mod that disables some lods, around here somewhere, check the mod thread

Thanks Mr MM. I did some search but was only able to find a LOD mod for ETW (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?p=6826943). It doesn't appear to be as simple as I thought and may affect performance significantly. I'll just wait for the fix.

there is no fix. this is a design decision for people to run the game with low end systems
