    Default CTD f- please help!

Great game! Thanks to those who made it. I really enjoy playing it.

Well, it first started when I was playing as Rome and around 232BC Carthage did a move and it crashed. I uninstalled and reinstalled along with the CTD fix that I read about. So, after the reinstall and following the directions on the topic for the fix, I proceeded to do another campaign. Rome again, and when the Rebels were forced out of the town just south of Rome I got another CTD with an error message about skins. I am going to go load it up again and post the error message that I get.

    Stand by...

But if anyone knows how to fix this please help!

    ERROR MESSAGE BELOW

Script Error in data/descr_model_battle.txt, at line 668, column 34.
Model database failed to load model RTRPE/data/RTR/models_unit/rome_early_general.cas.
I am on a laptop AMD Dual Core, 3GB RAM and running Vista. :/

Seems rather odd... What mod exactly do you mean?

Is your rtrpe the mod switch version? The CTD fix is dependent on which version you have. They need to match. Otherwise you get a wrong path for the skins and models from descr_model_battle(since the mod switch version installs in its own rtrpe sub-forum and not in the main rtw game folder) and that could trigger crashes like the one you`re experiencing.

I did the mod switch DL. I recopied the three files into RTW folder and it seemed to fix that little bug. However, I am unsure if the CTD problem is fixed. It was around 232BC so I will find out soon enough.
