    Default Serbian music question

You may recall that I made a blunder during our Grand Preview and had a folksong about pigfarming for the Serbian faction (which apparently was a great offence).

I would like to ask the Serbs here whether they think it is acceptable if the Byzantine faction has Serbian church music such as the Psalm 135, since we do not have a Serbian faction any longer.

My reasoning is that Serbia was under Byzantine control during the early part of the Middle Ages and they desrve to be represented as part of the Byzantine faction.

That song didn`t offended me,it was funny
I don`t have anything against to use Serbina music for Byzantin empire.
I don`t think that you are right about Serbs in that period.
Serbia wasn`t united at that time and most of Serbian states were united under Nemanjic dynasty.
BUT in that time there was independent Serbian kingdom called Duklja (Dioclea),these state become kingdom in 1077 under king Mihailo.Mihailo ruled over Duklja since 1050 until 1081 and he was succeed by his son king Konstantin Bodin(1081-1101). Roman Pope Gregory VII sent crown to Mihailo in 1077. Duklja ruled over today Montenegro and Raška (south-west Serbia today).
We had an independent state in that period and that is the fact now is up to you to change your mind. I would be happy if you do so and it would be good for gameplay, because Serbia was buffer state between Hungary and Byzantium and it would be very challenging to lead Serbia.
In Patria Libera mod would be possible to choose which faction you would like to be in the game. You can choose 1 of 3 possible.I think that this wold be good idea. That is up to you

So basically you want a Serbain faction, I understand that, but my question was- since there were ethnic Serbs in the Byzantine state, can we use some Serbian music for the Byzantine faction. Unless you are saying all Serbs were independent from Byzantium in 1080 and therefore Serbian Byzantine music would be wrong.

Oh, I just read this, I had a such good laugh. Actually to be hones it`s not an insult at all, main exporting article until WWI vere pigs, profit gained from exporting pigs to Austro-Hungary was used to built modern serbian state and to finance liberation from the Turks, there is no shame in that. You vere more on target than you think , if we would to concentrate our economy on agriculture again we would do much better.
Yes, we did have state in Duklja, but majority os Serbs still lived in Byzantine Empire. So use the music.
