    Default Beginners Qustions

    Greetings!
Since I’m new with SS (finally mannaged to install), I have some beginners questions:

    1) Diplomacy: Is the IA better in diplo? I mean, not attacking your harbour when you have a long standing alliance with him...etc.Is there less backstabbing?
    2) Is the IA as aggressive as in Vanilla?
    3) What about supply-lines? How does this work?
    4) What do they mean with titles for cities and nobles?

    1) I wouldnt know, from vanilla they dont seem to backstab as much...
    2) I would say more aggresive, especially on VH/VH, my Norman empire got overun by Scotland and England in 70 turns...
    3) ??? I have no clue
    4) Titles, you know, a general gets a fief eg. "Lord of Edinburgh" or something like that...

    Considering question numero 3:
If your general stays in field for some rounds thw supplies for his army melt away. This is it. You don't need to secure your supply lines or something like that.

By the way: Those titles give individual boni like +5% on taxes.

    3) The supplies effect how much moral your troops have, so if you were on a crusade overseas and been out there for a while, you have a chance of that general deserting. This is so that you can't camp on enemy's land, just pillaging their roads.
    4) They are ancillaries and act to give MTW2 a more role-playing element. They will give bonuses and sometimes negatives, and will effect the effectiveness of the general.

    1) I have experienced very little backstabbing and find other factions are more willing to offer you an alliance. The only times I have been backstabbed have been because of Crusades/ Jihads and when trying to secure an alliance with the emerging Mongol horde.
    2) In my experience the AI is less aggressive, but it does depend on which faction you play as. For example, if you play as the Knights Tempar then you are likely to be attacked by the Fatimids and Turks more or less straight away, bit if you play as someone like the Cumans, then hardly anyone will declare war on you
    3) The supply system merely means that after a number of turns in the field your troops will start getting morale decreases, and your general may get bad logistician traits which will reduce morale and command
    4) If you put a general into a city he may be given the title of the city, this title will give him some form of bonus (usually tax or trade), however they can also increase loyalty, command and in some cases piety. They can also reduce loyalty and command however, so you might want to watch out for those.

    Hope this helps.
