The Polish Legion (KICK ASS!!!!!)

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to say, The polish legion kick ass!, if you want to have them then LIBERATE not capture LIBERATE poland as France and you know the militia or sometimes line you get when you liberate a country, well Poland instead gives you a unit of Line and THE POLISHLEGION!!!

If you regular capture not: LIBERATE!!!!!!11!LOLOLOLOL... then you can just recruit them with a... Barracks I think.

Hmmm, lots of money an extra province and the ability to recruit good troops / half that money and 1 unit of the good troops...

Yes, they definitely kick ass... And that's why being a Pole I'm proud of it ... I wish the CA had included the Polish Regiment of Chevaux-legers of the Imperial Guard. These guys were able to destroy even famous British infantry squares.

They're great and all, but as another poster above me, I'd really like to see the polish chevaux-legers imperial guard.

Lets be honest it could be a super unit for all I care its so much more fun to trash the place

I did this in my France campaign. I liberated Warsaw and gave several former Prussian and Austrian territories to them as well. They make a good buffer state between France and Russia and the Polish Legion are amazing!

Just a dull technicality here. Several posters in this thread have refered to the Polish Guard Chevaux Legers being in the French Imperial Guard. Such a unit did not exist. The 1st Lancer Regiment was indeed the famous Polish Imperial Guard Lancers, with the 2nd Regiment being the famous Dutch Lancers of the Imperial Guard. There was no Chevaux Legers Regiment in the Guard from Poland.
Sorry for this point but we may as well strive for accuracy. I do think that the game uses the term Chevaux Legers far too broadly and in many cases inaccurately - I believe that there are Austrian Chevaux Legers, where these guys came from no one knows. Do not believe they existed. But hey its just a game!

Let me clarify... When I mentioned the Chevaux Legers Regiment of the Guard from Poland I meant 1st Lancers Regiment (Guard Lancers)... In French sources it's called "1er régiment de chevau-légers lanciers polonais de la Garde impériale" - literally (1st Polish Regiment de Chevaux-Legers-Lancers of the Imperial Guard).
