Which one is better Vista or W 7?

I'm planning to buy upgrade version from XP but which one is better for PC gaming wise and user friendly.

Vista or Window 7 in your opinion?

Windows 7. It's quicker, there are less errors and it's just a much better OS

Windows 7 is not better but has more features and less errors people hype windows 7 to much when in fact it does have its errors i never logged them this year but i did log vistas and man their was so many.

Windows 7 wins.

A better question would why wouldn't you get Windows 7 over Vista? At the end of the day Windows 7 is pretty much everything Vista should have been plus some nice visual changes and the ability to move applications along the toolbar (for some reason that always bothered me with XP and Vista). If your running a laptop then you definitely want Windows 7 for it's better battery usage, quicker boot and shut down times.

7 has made Vista completely redundant. There is zero reason to buy a new copy of Vista today. 7 is more or less Vista 2.0.

Mainly.

Vista has had some massive updates.

Quite frankly vista is a good OS.

But windows 7 will always win due to lower resource eating.

There were some nice visual features in Vista that aren't available in 7. The mpeg video wallpapers were f'n rad...a feature sadly not included w/ 7 Ultimate as far as I can find.
I have both versions in Ultimate Edition, and I personally actually prefer Vista to 7 currently. I've actually had more errors in 7 than I did in Vista...go figure.
After a service pack or so, I'll probably like 7 more...it was the same w/ Vista. After the service pack, I started to really love Vista more and more. But there are some features in 7 that I find myself using more and more. The window snap tool is pretty killer.

The moving wallpapers were awesome. But they stuffed up a lot for me. They seemed to freeze and crash a lot for me but anyway.

The things I don't like about 7 is the stupid 'superbar'. I hate the damn thing. And I hate the libraries, they are really annoying but I disabled them through the registry anyway

It can be done the same way you would do it to get them working in a Non-ultimate version of Vista.

Nothing. Mac's are great computers for what they are, just not the price apple asks for.

$1299 for a 2.2ghz 2GB RAM and 160GB HDD? Palease.

Last week I bought a HP DM3 13.1" 2.0ghz AMD Neo, 4GB RAM and 320GB HDD for $490 at my local staples and it out performs a mac twofold in convenience and also stouts a 9 hour battery...

Windows 7 is a great operating system and nothing bad can really be said about it, if maintained it's a very sleek and fast OS.

i have many friends and one of them has internet cafe. only 1 liked using vista and the rest were between 7 and xp. personally i use xp because i do not know yet if it is friendly for mods like XP.

Yeah, Win 7 is more moddable than XP. I had a lot of problems with XP when programming mods and Win7 doesn't have many issues at all
