Ok, imagine some terrorists have taken someone close to you hostage and told you to park a car bomb outside a hotel. You park the car out back, and walk off. You have a mobile phone with you, however if you call the cops they will see you on the phone and kill their hostage.

How many people would need to within the blast radius for you to sacrifice each of these (It can be in the millions or you could say wouldn't call no matter what).

In all honesty it depends on the person.
If I was in such a situation I would tell someone "If theres two strangers, sacrifice me to save them" And if I knew someone who wanted the same thing, I would fullfill his/her wishes. The exception would be my parents and siblings, who I probably couldnt bear to have killed for any amount of people (which I actually consider very selfish of myself)
If I didnt know their wishes, Im going to guess that it would be 10 , Infinite , 10 , 5 , 3 , 1 and 1 respectively. (1 being it depends on the situation, obvious bias towards the people I prefer though)

I've been through a lot with my best friends, they've stood with me through thick and thin, scrape and bruise, loss and triumph. I can't imagine them being worth less than one who would more likely call me an idiot than accept that they may be wrong about religion or than someone who cares more about drink and woman than his children.

Or for that matter, how can I willingly, consciously state that I would sacrifice hundreds, thousands or hundreds of thousands to saved loved ones? I wouldn't. And the truth is, virtually no one would. I mean the very fact that you did it would emotionally scar the survivor beyond all comprehension. I don't know what I'd do, what a stupid thread.
