Meh I am mixed feelings.
Looks like a remake of the first, and also the LAST thing i wanna see is cameras pointed at the people and them talking about the movie before i even see a preview. jeeeeeeeeeez. Now when i watch it i'll be thinking about that.
hm...

EDIt: annyone read the synopsis?

Ooh Laurence Fishbourne he is gonna matrix the predators ass

I'm gonna predict that this will be better than either of the AvP movies.
Ok, that shouldn't be difficult anyway, but I like that they're going for R rated and not some PG-13 cash in. I've already read a little bit about it just now, but some things might be spoilers so I won't give those away. The idea of assembling "humanity's best predators" (what the characters are supposed to be apparently) to be hunted by a new breed of Predators is not a bad idea, though I'm not sure what to think of stuff like "Black Super Predator" or "Predators dogs" and "Predator falcons". Oh well, gotta see how that works into the movie.
That said, look familiar, anyone?
In the script he supposedly carries a Russian four barreled GShG-7.62 machine gun, which is only slightly more insane than carrying the M134 he does now, but oh well.
I'm also sure Captain Jin is gonna love the 5'4'' woman running around with a sniper rifle.![]()
Predators. A 21st century attempt at recreating the awesomness of Aliens?... Well at least it has some decent actors, so it cannot be as bad as the AVP movies... Hopefully!
AvP was quite good. Requiem looked like a college B movie.
This is the synopsis:
So I am guessing their homeworld seeing as there are "Predatos Hounds".Originally Posted by Predators Official Website

Well yeah it's their homeworld, that's what the script says.

It would be awesome! it would be the best thing ever put on film!
Why does some human have to be the antagonist? Why does the human have to allways come out on top? And why is it allways an American human?
I'd prefer watching the Predator hunting and slaughtering them, mock their weakness with his buddies. And being rewarded with some sort of rank.
A Predator happy ending so to say, how many: train => overcome challenges => get the trophy! movies involving humans are there?
Why not a movie where we follow the Predator on his ritual of becomming a grown up? And the Predator is the hero of the movie.
Even AVP Requiem where the Predator was suposed to be the hero decided to cramm in some humans no one cared about, and some sort of romance (why does every movie have aing romance?) and the humans survived mostly, whereas the Predator. The hero of the movie! Died.
First of all, it's PROtagonist. The Predator has always been the ANtagonist in the Predator movies. Humans come out on top because it is a story about humans for humans, because we, THE HUMANS, identify with other HUMANS and enjoy seeing them overcome adversity against the odds.
Also, why always an American? Disregarding that Predators is going to feature characters from all over the world, these are Sci-Fi Action movies made in Hollywood, they are works of fiction, they are not shortchanging other nations by retelling "The Great Predator Wars" without including the British.
What that means, in short, is that they're Americans because these movies are made in America and it has no relevance for the quality of the movie at all.
It seems you have no sense of how tension and excitement is created in a story. Your character doesn't become interesting by starting out vastly superior to his adversaries and defeat them with so little effort as to call it a slaughter. THAT'S NOT INTERESTING.I'd prefer watching the Predator hunting and slaughtering them, mock their weakness with his buddies. And being rewarded with some sort of rank.
The whole premise of Predator was introducing a crack team of Commandos that laid waste to a Guerrilla village without so much as a scratch only to be then hunted down and picked off one by one by a vastly superior Alien creature. That's what made it interesting because Schwarzenegger's character was facing superior odds so it was exciting to see how he would overcome them.
What you are suggesting would be about as exciting as watching a bunch of MMA fighters beat up high school kids and then go have a drink at a bar high fiving each other.
Hint: Predators are a fictional Alien race invented to make Arnold Schwarzenegger look weak, they are not a minority that deserve their own movie. Why not a movie where we follow the Predator on his ritual of becomming a grown up? And the Predator is the hero of the movie.
Uh no, it was never the hero of the movie, it was just another piece of a terrible movie.Even AVP Requiem where the Predator was suposed to be the hero decided to cramm in some humans no one cared about, and some sort of romance (why does every movie have aing romance?) and the humans survived mostly, whereas the Predator. Why is it asumed we identify with humans? Usualy I identify with nobody in the movies I've seen the past years, and if I do, it's usualy the evil guy
