Default I just found something on my computer. It's on yours as well.

    Go to C:\Windows\Media\onestop.mid

    There's that, Flourish.mid, and Town.mid.

Who the heck put these on the Windows OS, why is it actually decent music (for MIDI tracks, that is lol), and lastly, how long has this been sitting on my hard drive for?

Are there any other secrets about Windows I should know about?

Lol, i checked them too. Not bad really. I remember finding the music for the final countdown somewhere on windows once somewhere.
and why is onestop so inconsistent? I guess its all in the name.

Edit: yeah I think theres some music in the Public - Public Music - Music Samples file as well.

I remember playing around with Windows files and finding some pretty funny stuff when I was programming for Winmatrix

I remove the whole \Media directory in the Windows folder.

Hence it's not on my computer as well. . My Windir is just under 200MB after using nLite and Bold-Fortune's guide.

The start of onestop.mid reminds of Monkey Island! Speaking of Lucasarts have announced they giveing Mk2 a makeover like they did with the first last year!

For some reason Microsoft do hide some listenable tunes in Windows. On XP there's a 'hidden' track deep in the Windows directory (google hidden XP music) which is infact the music that's meant to play when the XP tour comes when you first boot XP after a new installation. The problem is some doughnut at Redmond forgot nobody has sound drivers installed when XP first boots so nobody heres it which is shame because it's a good chill out tune.

"Onestop" is old news. It was in XP and Vista too.

One of the other two is the music for a certain DirectX diagnostic test. (can't remember which track or test though.)
