    Default Weird Interface

    How can I correct these issues - I use GIMP

    1. Stratpage_01: Minimap uppercorner not hidden behind column(this is the case in vanilla)

    As for the second, I'd advise to go over the weird line in the middle with a clone-stamp tool, even though it may show no obvious line in the .tga file. It's probably a "relic" from flipping that image

    Aha, I see. i thought the shot was for the camp-map, sorry

    I think it's just one of the oddities that you get when flipping images in such an image file. Perhaps one of the modding veterans (Halie )knows some tips and tricks to get rid of this ?

    Not to mention I really don't find the line distubring, it isn't noticeable

    The former might be an issue with the radar map files, check that the line doesn't appear on those.

    For the latter, hmm... Check if the alpha channel at the point where the two halves connect is not exactly white, but has a degree of transparency.

    Yeah, its a pain in the butt to get those two pieces to meet cleanly. As Aradan said, check the Alpha. It looks like there's a slight over lap going on there. Try adding a one pixel thick line to the alpha on one side of the two pieces and see what happens.

    this line has to do with the ending of your pic,you attach the same edge of a doubled pic so the pixels there are the same and doubled and create this line,
    from one of the two cut the last pixel line from up to the bottm and reverse it horizontally or vertically and see,the other thing you can do is to delete the last pixel line of one of the two pics and stretch the whole pic to cover tha pixel line...

    Thank you all!
    First issue with the minimap is solved.
    The problem was the interface is modified(from the mod Warlords of Sparta by Halie) didnt have the little
    decoration which covers the upper right of the map. Now it does

    The second issue I will work on this weekend. Many thanks for your suggestions

    Try adding a one pixel thick line to the alpha on one side of the two pieces and see what happens.
    How can I add one pixel of alpha if they edges are on the edge of the texture

    Go to the channel tap, select the alpha layer, activate your pencil tool, make sure your on black (alpha) and have your pencil set to 1px and draw a line down the side. From 200 to 360 according the ruler on the pic you posted.

    your alpha pic looks add though, in the alpha channel layer in channels tab is should be black as opaque and white as transparent.

    Thanks for your patience. I have included the channelstab in the pic. Alse see my handdrawn line. I guess its here you suggest to include 1 pixel. But how can I do that if it is "outside" the layer. Shall I expand the layer to 513x513

    I don't think that would help. What is the RGB colour of the alpha mask at the left edge of this rectangle and the right edge of the one above? Is it completely opaque?

    Is it completely opaque?
    Yes it is. I believe it has something to do with how the game "glues" the parts of the texture together. There must be some kind of error here.
    The line in the middle appears in vanilla roman interface too. I think many mods solve this by either making the background very bright(as in RTR-FOE) or they make some kind of structure with the edge fitting the line(as in lotr-tw Gondor interface). You can also see the line very clearly in the mod Aristeia(greek interface)

    Instead of having Alpha in the Alpha channel, try to add white were the Alpha should be ?

    here it still has a very small lighter trace of the line,i think it must be a bit lighten
