The decision that convinced me was Game website's Reviews I like the pictures at night were it was pitch black and soldiers were holding torches and also how if you made a night attcak to a city the city was all dark except for the windows of buildings looks really cool.

The basic fact is that there is no game quite like it. Yes it has weaknesses - the AI in BI is much, much better - but when it comes to simulating warfare in this time period - there is no better game.

It is a logical extension for RTW...

I'll definitely buy it but I think I'll probably wait until the major mods have been modded to suit it. I dont know how long I could possibly play vanilla BI for so having mods for it will be the big selling point for me. Plus, it doesn't come out here in OZ for at least a few weeks yet.

i voted other because i thought the horde concept would be very cool, it is but needs major tweaking imo

and i know that just like VI the expansion will have eventually have the best mods

and i understand that game creators are under the pressure of producers so i dont hate on a game because it has mass market appeal

I mainly bought because... well I have STW+MI, MTW+VI, RTW... so wanted to have a "full set". I am somewhat disappointed with quite a few things in RTW and most probably won't buy the next TW game but I didn't want to abandon RTW "half-way". It may be a very silly reason, but there you go.

Well, I haven't bought it yet. I guess RTR and HOI2 can sustain me until xmas. By then hopefully most of the bugs will have been ironed out, and some mods will have replace the present skins...

I bought it to test what I heard was some neat features but now I wished I waited as its not as easy to mod as it should have been. Also they may release a patch and there goes ones work again. Plus it doesnt seem the -mod: switch is working which is really need to make a mod for BI.

It was only £20. I don't really put that much though into making a £20 investment and it sounded like it might be decent :-) I'm glad to say, it is very good.

I loved RTW despite all it's flaws so buying BI was a natural step.
And I'm very pleased with that step.

The TW-series have no equal. Show me one other game that has great strategic features AND stunning graphics and i'll say you're an idiot.

Out of curiousity Smoke, why do you aways seem so keen on offending people who do not share your opinion of TW?

I'm tempted to tell you why, but I know the mods wouldn't appreciate it.

Well i agree there no other equal compared to TW Series. Because other games have the there good points and bad points and TW series haves there good points and fewer bad points now BI is out

    i voted other,
im a CA fan, and i was bored off RTW, and RTR, and i wanted a new timeframe, and i also liked the new features.
BI feels like what RTW was meant to be.

Well Europa Universalis II might not have great graphics. But it's 10000x more strategic than RTW.

And Knights of Honor! BTW sometimes I feel I prefer the 2d drawn graphics to the 3d... it's somehow more pleasing to the eye.

I bought it to help mod it, so I picked other. Though I probably would have bought it anyways.

I plan on buying it, just don't have the money right now. So I picked other. Very looking forward to it, however.
