    Default need help with moria

It is more than turn 80 now but moria has only about 4500 population. With 1% rate it may take another 80 turn or more for me to build mithril mine and get the almighty Balrog

how can I increase the population of moria as fast as possible? I try to bring troops from other towns and disband them in moria, however, I don't see any immediate increment of population (not after one turn either)

And you willn't - it works only in R:TW. The only way is to put a chivalrious governor in Moria.

Disbanding units in a town doesn't increase population in medieval (that was rome).

However how are you calculating? 1% of 4500 is 45 and even with a growth of only 45 per turn it would take only about 30 turns (and in reality in turn 2 it will arleady be a growth of 1% of 4545 etc...).

A way to increase growth in a castle is to bring in a general with high chivalry, and if possible with some "decrease squalor" traits.

    EDIT: Aesir was faster...

Yeah 80 turns is way too much (assuming you do nothing to improve the rate). He needs 6000 pop to be able to upgrade to a fortress, with starting pop of 4500*1.01^3729 it is about 37 29 turns. Now if you use a chivalrous general (the more points, the higher the growth rate) you can significantly reduce the total numbers of turns you need to upgrade. However to have a balrog you need to build mithril mines which takes 8 turns to construct, assuming you upgraded it. So it still takes some time. + you can build farms to increase the growth rate, isn't it?

i checked the building browser and mithril mine requires a citadel i think it takes 12000 population to build citadel ?

i have built the highest level farm in the castle though it is not built at the early stage of the game as i was seriously lack of funds due to war with 4 factions.

will training and reinforcing units decrease the population?

It will take exactly 29 turns to get to 6000 with 1% over 4500.

and depending on the faction you are playing - moving the capital near to moria or making moria
the capitol will increase the culture and population growth too (because of its multiple positive
effects on corruption, trade, culture, order, law, health ...) you can move the capital back to it
    original settlement.

i get my balrog after add 20000 population to Moria and build all stuff but i can not achieve victory after meeting all the requirements. so i think cheating will deprive you of the chance to win and that's all.
