I think this would be both ridiculous and awesome, as well impossible. But I swear I would play it, (and make my roommates play it with me) if it ever gets made.

I know this is impossible, I just think it'd be funny to see thousands of squirtles marching about and scratching their opponent while charmanders fire flaming arrows.

Note: I am not really being serious, this thread is more for fun speculation.

This probably is pretty possible..if not for copyright concerns..although I kind of think someone would have to be..very stoned..to consider playing it..and even more so to consider creating it.

How are the copyright concerns with LOTR mods settled. And you don't have to be stoned, just someone who likes having ridiculous fun. I've never been stoned in my life ;P

The LOTR mods were quite simply not noticed, or not considered important by the copyright holder,It all depends on the company. There have been mods in which the company never got involved, and then there are mods which have been shut down because of copyright concerns.

im not a pokemon geek, I just played a lot of Pokemon Blue on my Gameboy Color back when i was a kiddo and i cldnt spell o us punctution when i wrotecus i didn't know how and i havent played much since but i play it with peple on campus for the nastalgia

That's exactly why this mod shouldn't be made. How could we stop until we had caught 'em all? And then what if the creator neglected to make one of them catchable, requiring you to send your PayPal information to a Nigerian Prince in order to unlock the glitch? We would all be doomed. Pfft, well not all pokemon would be in it, just a dozen tops. Tho if there's a campaign map of Johto, generals could become "Pokemon trainers" and can capture all the pokemon on the campaign, which gives them stats.

Battles would still be RTW style.. cept instead of units of legionaires, you have units of geodudes and mankees
