Default Reccomend me a laptop that runs NTW

I live in australia and i have about 2000 dollars (AUS) that i can use to buy a laptop and maybe 500 dollars more in a weeks time. I am absolutely ignorant in computers so i hope someone can help me.
I don't mind little things like looks or size, as long as NTW works well in High settings then i am satisfied.

It looks like a good system, but it will struggle at high settings if you attach all the eye candy (AA, AF, etc), especially if you're using a large resolution.

I will say though, that even though you will need paypal for it, you can find laptops on eBay that will also run NTW quite well for around $1,400-$1,500.

    There's also this: http://www.bttech.com.au/acer-aspire...6-p-81632.html

I'm not familiar with the quality of Acer laptops though, so I am not sure if it's such a bargain. The specs are good though, perhaps no i7 (i5 instead), but the graphics card is better and it's cheaper.

May I ask why you want a laptop instead? Unless there's some dire reason you absolutely need a laptop over a desktop, the latter will give you a far better machine for far better cost.

I had a mid range Acer laptop (i.e. dedicated graphics, but not an insane spec). Was cheaper than it's comptetitors hence why I went for it. Had some overheating problems after high usage for most of a year, and came with a lot of junk software. Also annoyingly had the hard drive partitioned directly in half, and since I didn't have the OS install disks I had no way to alter the size of the main one. But, it worked alright, so it did it's job. Though, compared with other laptops i've seen in that sort've spec (Dell's XPS machines), it was a slightly inferior build, but it was cheaper.

I recently bought a Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q880 for a gaming laptop.
    Specs:
    18.4" widescreen at 1920x1080
    i7 720 QM processor
    6 GB ram
64GB solid state drive for operating system
    500GB 7200 RPM data drive
NVIDIA GTS 360M with 1 GB video memory

It ran $1,900 (American) via Amazon/Tiger Direct.

I bought a laptop because most of my gaming time is during lunch at work. My monster desktop at home hardly gets used at all. So far, this runs the game rather well, and I am waiting on the new Nvidia drivers. Actually, it has run pretty much everything I've tried at high resolution, including Arma II, Assassin's Creed, Batman:Arkham Asylum, ETW, GTA IV, etc.
Don't blame me, I voted for Pedro!

I've always found that Acer's are rubbish. I had 2 of them and I had tonnes of problems with them and they were constantly being repaired until the warranty ran out and then I threw them out
